Candle Care Tips

Wood Wick Burning Tips Burn in 2 to 4 hour increments. On your first light, allow your candle to burn until wax melts to edge of the container. This can take between 2-4 hours. You should do this for all burns moving forward to preserve an even melt pool and longevity. Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours. Trip Your Wick Trim your wood wick before every light between 1/8 – 1/4 inch. If the wick is too long it cannot absorb the wax properly. You can trim your wick using your fingers nail, clippers or a wick trimmer. If you trimmed the wick too short, take a butter knife and scrape off a thin layer of wax from around the wick. Do this after blowing out the candle and allowing the wax to solidify. Cracking wood wicks are truly comforting and great a serene ambiance. They may require a little bit of patience because you are working with real wood and fire. But do not worry, we are here to help!
